Develop a reliable and scalable fantasy football analytics solution capable of handling API-driven football datasets, structured analytical modelling, interactive reporting, and reusable KPI calculations within Power BI.

Throughout development, several technical, modelling, and reporting challenges were encountered and resolved to improve reporting quality, dashboard usability, and analytical consistency.

Challenge

The Fantasy Premier League APIs returned deeply nested JSON structures containing complex records, lists, and inconsistent attribute formatting across football datasets.

This created challenges around:

• schema consistency
• column expansion
• relationship mapping
• analytical preparation
• reusable transformation logic

• expand nested JSON records
• flatten complex structures
• standardise column naming
